Watch Falz Rap In English, Yoruba & French On Catchy New Track ‘La Fête’
The ridiculously catchy song first debuted at the 2017 AFRIMMA awards earlier this month, where Falz deservedly – yes, deservedly – beat out the likes of Wizkid, Davido, Tekno and Mr Eazi to take home the award for ‘Best Male West Africa’.
Produced by Desma, “La Fête” finds Falz tapping into his inner Yemi Alade, alternating between a host of languages like a real ‘Papa Africa’. He switches between spitting brag-laden bars in English, Pidgin, French, Yoruba and even a little bit of Swahili with incredible ease.

The music video, which was directed by Clarence Peters, might just be the weakest part of this whole brilliant package. Don’t get us wrong, the video isn’t bad – on the contrary, it’s very well shot – but compared to the song it’s meant to prop up, it doesn’t really do it any justice.
