Watch The Video For Sarkodie & Korede Bello’s Love Song ‘Far Away’
Nasty C. Cassper Nyovest. M.I: Those are just some of the names you’ll hear if you ask who the greatest rapper in Africa is. Sarkodie: That’s the only name you will – and should – hear when you ask who’s the most consistent.
Five studio albums (and a truckload of pan-African features) into his acclaimed career and the Ghanaian rapper seems to just keep getting better. His most recent LP, Highest, found him teaming up with some of the best artistes in Africa to deliver one of his strongest projects till date.
Sarkodie and Korede Bello make magic together
After the album dropped, Sarkodie pulled a Beyoncé (B’Day not Lemonade) and released a bunch of the project’s visuals at a go. Now, he has released yet another music video off Highest: “Far Away”featuring Mavin Records’ Korede Bello.

Produced by the talented T’Spize, “Far Away” is a pretty straightforward rap/sung collaboration – while it features Sarkodie’s ever-engaging flow, it truly rises on the strength of Korede Bello’s chorus (his voice is pretty undeniable).
While it’s always great when a music video ditches the pointless twerking and dingy clubs to tell a cohesive story, this Sesam-directed clip tries and fails to pull that off. It features a robbery that’s meant to be thrilling but just ends up leaving you hella confused.
