Wikki Tourists’ Emeka Nwabulu linked with Enugu Rangers
Ex-Nigeria junior international goalkeeper Emeka Nwabulu has been linked to a move to Enugu Rangers after he was placed on the transfer list by Wikki Tourists after he failed to resume pre-season training with them.
Nwabulu spent seven seasons at Bauchi club Wikki Tourists before he was listed for transfer market early this week following what officials described as his inability to rejoin his teammates since October 10 when they regrouped.
But it has now emerged that the shot stopper has headed for Enugu to link up with the Coal City Flying Antelopes.
“Emeka (Nwabulu) has moved to Enugu to join Rangers”, a close teammate at Wikki Tourists said.
Rangers struggled to escape relegation last season despite winning the league title the year before, their first trophy in 32 years.
A disappointing campaign in both domestic and continental scenes led to a massive clear-out of both the coaching crew and management board with the government yet to appoint a substantive general manager four weeks before the start of the new season tentatively slated for December 3, 2017.
