EbonyLife’s ‘The Royal Hibiscus Hotel’ Will Premiere At TIFF
The last time an EbonyLife romantic comedy premiered at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), it was The Wedding Party and it ended up becoming the highest grossing Nollywood movie of all time.
This year, they have another romantic comedy set to premiere at the festival, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel – and it’s currently the only Nollywood feature film on the roster.
he Royal Hibiscus Hotel follows an aspiring restaurateur (played by Zainab Balogun), who returns to her home in Lagos to try and refine her family’s hotel, only to find that her parents are planning on selling out to a handsome buyer (played by Kenneth Okolie).
Directed by Ishaya Bako (Road To Yesterday), the movie also has a pretty impressive supporting cast which includes Jide Kosoko, Rachael Oniga, Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs, OC Ukeje, Charles Inojie, Deyemi Okanlawon, Lala Akindoju, Akah Nnani and Ini Dima Okojie.
