Captain of Leicester City Wes Morgan says new signing Kelechi Iheanacho will no doubt be a positive addition to the attack of the team judging by his form in training.
Iheanacho joined the Foxes from Manchester City last week, and made a positive impression in his first game by teeing up top striker Jamie Vardy for the second goal in their 2-1 win over Borrusia Monchenglabach in their last preparatory game before their league opener against Arsenal on Friday.
His performance in the game drew praises from coach Craig Shakespeare, but according to Morgan his performance in training drills has further proven his abilities when it comes to putting the ball in the back of the net.
“He’s a very, very good player. He’s sharp and quick and he’s definitely got an eye for goal. We did a round-robin tournament today and he was on my team. He popped up with some great goals from impossible positions. Which is refreshing,” Morgan said.
“It’s good to see someone with a different acuteness that adds something to the team. I think he’ll come and do a great job for us”.
