Watch ‘Everything In Between’, A Nigerian TV Series About The Struggle To Conform

The issue of acceptance is one that needs constant discussion and exploration, especially in Nigeria. We don’t have a great history of accepting people the way they are, and even now that the rest of the world is a little more open and liberal, a lot of us would rather uphold what we consider traditional values, which are really just patriarchal values handed down to us without justification – especially the intolerance towards the LGBT community.

Everything in Betweena new drama series, tells the stories of three young professionals; Emma Okoye, Dayna Elliot and Demola Ogunjimi, and their struggle to conform to what is considered the norm in the Nigerian society. All characters face similar challenges – being judged on the basis of who they are and who they love. The show will explore salient issues that young people face across sacrifice, love, sexuality, and societal pressure.

The trailer already has us engaged and we will definitely be looking forward to the series premiere. Everything in Between is produced by The Initiative for Equal Rights (TIERs) in association with Alleykat Media; and stars Zara Udofia-Ejoh, Linda Usifo, Ashionye, Ayoola Ayoola, Daniel Effiong and Denrele Edun.
