Wizkid Finally Releases ‘African Bad Gyal’ Featuring Chris Brown

Following the release of “Ojuelegba (Remix)” with Drake and Skepta, and “One Dance” with Drake and Kyla, the rest of the world has been obsessed with Wizkid. His style of afrobeat and catchy hits are on many a DJ’s set list.

Now, with the success of “Come Closer”, Wizkid just released another single, “African Bad Gyal”, featuring Chris Bown.

Wizkid and Chris Brown have collaborated in the past on “Shabba (Remix)” which worked out really well, so it makes sense to try and replicate that magic.

On “African Bad Gyal”, both Wizkid and Chris Brown can be heard singing in Nigerian Pidgin. It’s a little cringeworthy hearing anyone without the accent or an in-depth knowledge of the culture sing or speak Pidgin or Patois, but Chris Brown manages to pull it off. Produced by Sarz, “African Bad Gyal” is a blend of dancehall and afrobeat that’ll have you dancing or at least tapping your feet to its infectious rhythm.
