This is Marcellina Akpojotor Oseghale.
Marcellina Oseghale is a young lady that creates beautiful artworks with pieces of fabrics. Her artworks are a simple expression of her creative personality as you rarely find an artist doing something this unique.
She is a fashion designer would undoubtedly want to put this up on his/her wall and if you love art, you would appreciate this too. Marcellina’s pieces are wonderful.
Marcellina is a mother and a mixed media artist whose work will immediately attract you when you’re in the room. At least, that’s what I felt when I met her and saw her work at the opening of the Rele Gallery Young Contemporaries 2017 where she and four other artists had an exhibition.
At the just concluded opening of Rele Art Foundation’s Young Contemporaries 2017, she exhibited pieces featuring babies and also an installation called ‘Roots and Rings’. About Marcellina’s colourful fabric creation of babies, she says she wants to use a crucial period in life to take us down memory lane and towards the future, according to a caption on Young Contemporaries Instagram page.
Here are a few of Marcellina’s works with waste ankara materials.
