For the brunch newbies in Lagos, Southern Sun is a must. The Sunday brunch at Southern Sun has become a solid Lagosian tradition. Probably because there is a likelihood you’ll run into someone famous/infamous, the buffet is actually good (and extensive), exquisite dinning space and top-notch service. Finally, let’s not forget the bottomless champagne.
2. NOK by Alara
12A Akin Olugbade Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
There is something unique about the space at Nok by Alara. Its simple, yet stylish decor makes an impression on you every time. The ambiance alone is a reason to come, but the food is the reason to stay. Now that celebrity chef Pierre Thiam has added brunch to Nok’s menu, we love it even more!

3. Craft Gourmet by Lou Baker
Mega Plaza Mall, 14 Idowu Martins Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
We often don’t get too excited about a new restaurant opening in Lagos however Craft Gourmet has a done an amazing job transforming the space at Mega Plaza. The simplicity is almost as inviting and beautiful as the brunch menu. Come and try the delicious food with hints of influence from North Africa and Lebanon.

4. RSVP Lagos
9 Eletu Ogabi, Victoria Island, Lagos.
RSVP has managed to create an incredible (no exaggeration) brunch experience in Lagos. The truly innovative menu (which includes an addictive cocktail list) at RSVP matched by excellent consistent service keeps us coming back here. We advise making a reservation in advance.

5. Orchid Bistro
58A Issac John Street, Ikeja, Lagos.
Orchid Bistro is a hidden gem in Ikeja. By hidden, we mean that it is relatively difficult to locate and that’s not a bad thing if you want to avoid the Sunday crowd. Like most brunches in Lagos, it is buffet style.

6. Bistro 7
273 Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Bistro 7 is an old favorite and one of the more baby-friendly brunch locations. The Eggs Benedict is absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

7. Crust & Cream
11 Musa Yardua Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Crust & Cream serves a mean All-American breakfast with pancakes, eggs, crispy-fried beacon and real pork sausage. Also an excellent spot for an arty brunch date.

8. Brazzerie, Four Points by Sheraton
9/10 Block 2, Oniru Chieftaincy Estate,Yesuf Abiodun Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.
This French Brasserie themed restaurant at Four Points is another post-church family brunch outpost. Equally as pricey as Southern Sun but no bottomless champagne. You should get a complimentary Martini Rose though, so be sure to ask for it.
9. The Foundry
288B Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The best place to eat the full English Breakfast may just be at this tucked away gem in Ikoyi. Great for a poolside romantic brunch for two.

10. La Brioche

La Brioche is another cute French themed place. The space feels quite tight, or you could say super-intimate (great for a third date!). The pastry goodies at La Brioche are all delicious, every last item on the menu.

11. Mansilla
6 Musa Yar’Adua Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Celebrity Chef Flo is more famous for her culinary YouTube videos. Only a few know she is also the chef behind Mansilla (previously Wott to Eat) and she has done a great job simplifying the menu. Brunch includes a complimentary Bellini.
12. Casper & Gambini’s
1089 Agoro Odiyan Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The famous Casper & Gambini’s is a welcome addition to the Lagos restaurant scene. It occupies the old Cafe Vanessa spot in Victoria Island and has taken the brunch experience one notch up.

13. Churchill’s Pub
4/6 Shehu Layi Yusuf Crescent, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
Churchill’s is an old-fashioned English pub tucked away in Lekki which has become “the local” for British expats. You might want to come here only to practice your British accent, but the food is on point and affordable. The brunch menu includes the full English breakfast, which is actually served all-day.

14. Delis Café

This is another one of those cozy cafes located above a supermarket. The not-so-obvious difference is that Brunch at Delis is actually delectable. Also serves one of the best steaks in Lagos.

For the best panini fix in Lekki, head straight to Olivia’s Café which is co-located with the famous Nuts About Cakes bakery.

Browns is well-known for its Nigerian delicacies and tends to be overlooked for its brunch offering. You could also opt for the Al fresco dining option (don’t forget your bug spray).
