For The First Time, The Lagos Fashion & Design Week Is Having An Autumn/Winter Show – See 9 Designers involved

The Lagos Fashion and Design Week may be the biggest fashion show right now in Nigeria.

The much-anticipated fashion event has been happening since 2012 in Lagos, the fashion capital of Nigeria and it falls right in time for Nigerian designers to display their Spring/Summer collections to buyers, fashion editors, and enthusiasts.

Now, for the first time in forever, there is going to be a fashion show to cater to collections for the Autumn/Winter season as well.

This development was recently announced on Instagram and is scheduled to hold from the 31st of March to the 2nd of April 2017 at the Red Door Gallery.

The Presentation series is entitled ‘IDENTITY’ and the nine designers featured, have all to a greater or lesser extent previously traversed notions of identity, modernity, heritage and self-expression in their work. Each designer will be designated a space, one in which they can distill these and other themes further, engage directly with guests, be they buyers or editors and most pertinently, present their Autumn/Winter Collections 2017.

Following this news, nine designers have been selected to display at the inaugural fashion week. They are:

1. AAKs

2. Gozel Green

3. Kelechi Odu

4. Lisa Folawiyo

5. Maki Oh

6. Orange Culture

7. Post Imperial

8. Ré

9. Shem Paronelli

Look forward to seeing what these designers have!
